3/8" Cotton Swimwear Elastic, Natural

Finally got around to sewing this into my new swimsuit and the stretch is just right—doesn’t dig in when wet. The cotton weave gives it a soft feel against the skin compared to the synthetic elastics I’ve used before. Exactly what I needed for summer projects.

Was a bit worried the natural color would look too plain, but it blends perfectly with my homemade swimsuit fabric. The horizontal ribs make it easy to sew without slipping around, and it’s lightweight enough that it doesn’t add bulk to the seams.

This cotton braided elastic is exactly what I needed for my swimsuit project—it’s lightweight and the horizontal ribs make it stretch just right without bunching up. I’ve already used it on two pairs and it holds its shape after a swim.
