Used this for the waistband on my daughter's dance costume and the braided texture held its shape perfectly through multiple practices. It's soft against skin but still has that firm, reliable stretch. The 6-yard length gave me plenty leftover for other projects too.

Had to restock my sewing kit and this braided elastic works perfectly for waistbands—it’s lightweight and the slight ribbing keeps it from twisting when I pull it through casing. Stretches down to about half its width, which is exactly what I wanted for a gathered skirt.
