I was worried about elastic rolling up after washing, but this ribbed woven one really stays flat and sturdy through multiple laundry cycles. The 1-1/2 inch width gives just the right amount of hold for my waistband projects.

After a few washes, the ribbed texture keeps its shape and hasn't curled at all, even in a waistband I sewed last month. It's firm enough to hold up a pair of linen pants without digging in, and the non-roll design really does what it says.

Finally, an elastic that actually stays flat in a waistband—the ribbed texture grips the fabric instead of twisting around. I used it for a pair of lounge shorts and the 1-1/2" width gives just the right amount of hold without digging in.
