I've been using this pencil on all my quilting projects and it's a relief that it works on every fabric I've thrown at it, from cotton to silk. The natural soapstone leaves a mark that's visible but doesn't smudge, which is exactly what I need for precise cutting lines.

The tip is fine enough to draw precise lines on dark denim without smudging. I've used it on several quilt pieces and the marks stay put until I’m ready to press them away.
