The handle is much easier to grip than my old one, especially when I'm working on a tricky seam. The safety ball really does protect the fabric from accidental snags, which has saved me a couple of times already. This feels sturdy enough to last through many more projects.

I've gone through three cheap seam rippers this year, but this one's handle is so much easier to grip that my hand doesn't cramp on long projects. The hardened steel blade is still sharp after a week of heavy use, and the cap keeps it safe in my sewing box.
