I was skeptical about getting clean chalk marks on black denim, but these pencils leave a visible line that actually wipes off with a damp cloth without any residue. Two in the pack means I always have a spare when the tip dulls mid-project.

The tip glides smoothly enough on dark fabric, which is exactly what I needed for my quilt pieces. Damp cloth took the marks right off without leaving any ghost lines. Wish the pack had more than two pencils, though.
