The two-piece design is genius — I can remove the handle and slide it right into a mitten without any awkward bunching. It’s already saved a couple of my favorite wool socks from the trash pile.

I love how the darning egg’s smooth wooden surface lets me slide my socks right over it without snagging. The two-piece design made it easy to adjust for smaller gloves and larger sweater elbows.

I was dreading patching my son's wool mittens, but this egg's smooth surface held the fabric taut and made the whole job surprisingly quick. The removable top piece is handy for sliding the sock over, too.
