The quarter-inch thickness is just right—subtle enough to add shape without looking bulky, and they sewed in easily for a quick alteration. I'm glad they're machine washable too, since I already tossed a blouse in the laundry without thinking.

Finally, shoulder pads that don't look like I'm playing football—the 1/4 inch thickness gives just the right amount of soft shaping without adding bulk. I tacked them into a blazer and they stayed perfectly in place through the wash.

I was worried they'd be too bulky, but these pads are barely noticeable under a blouse while still taking away that harsh shoulder line. Tack them in place and they stay put even after a machine wash.
