I needed just a short piece for a mask project, and that built-in indentation made it so easy to fold over the raw edges cleanly in one pass. The black color is nice and opaque, not see-through at all.

This black fold-over elastic has a perfect crease down the center, so it stays aligned while I sew. The 5/8 inch width is just right for finishing the neckline on a lightweight summer top. It took minutes to attach and looks clean on both sides.

I used this to finish the armholes on a swimsuit, and the black color blended in perfectly. The elastic is soft against skin and the fold makes it quick to sew.
