Round Cord Elastic, Black, 5 yd

I used this round cord elastic for the button loops on a dress project — it’s stretchy enough to hold snugly but not bulky, and the 5-yard length was plenty for several loops. The material feels smooth and durable, too.

I was worried the cord might be too thin for button loops, but this 5-yard length gives me plenty of room to work with and the stretch is just right for gathering.

The round cord is surprisingly sturdy for its thinness, and the stretch holds its shape really well when I pull it through fabric. I used it for gathers on a lightweight blouse and the elastic slipped through the casing without any snagging.
